Amy's laying down the law
In an effort to incure no further wrath from Amy, I hiked my little bum over to the library today to make an entry. Let me just say, in my defense, I have been away from home since the beginning of the month. I'm back in Omaha again and for the majority of the time, I have been working very strange hours, which precluded my visiting the library to use the internet and left me at the mercy of the wireless system in the hotel -- a system that is none too reliable, if I must say so. But this weekend the rain stopped and I'm back to a somewhat normal schedule.
There is nothing too much to report, so my goal is to write several simple sentences to get you up to speed:
--I have actually enjoyed being without a car for the last month. Feet are a wonderful mode of transportation. I wonder how long it would take me to walk to work in Ohio.
--I do not enjoy working the overnight shift. My body likes daylight. I would get seasonal affected disorder in Alaska.
--I have not gone to church since July. I have not prayed. I do not miss either. This is saddening.
--Studying how Christians used their religion to justify slavery has really not been good for my stumbling walk.
--The thing that makes me most afraid in life is thinking that I might have to live my entire adult life alone. I might never get married. I want to grow old with someone.
--Mat is a better writer than me.
--I need a part-time job to help me pay for school next year.
--I have heard rumors. I might get recalled to active duty for 5-10 years. (What?!)
--I think I might buy a house in 2008.
--I would like to visit Utah this winter. I, too, love the stars there.
